How to Apply
Description
Youth Leadership Lycoming is a leadership program
for high school sophomores and juniors, which enables students to develop
leadership skills, while increasing awareness of their community. Youth
Leadership Lycoming offers students the opportunity to work with adult leaders
in their
community through daylong seminars held over a
nine-month period. The sessions focus on leadership skills, environmental
issues, citizenship/government, media/communications, community issues,
community needs, opportunities, challenges and resources.
Eligibility
-
All students from Lycoming County public schools
and St. John Neumann High School who are entering either 10th or 11th grade in
the fall of the coming school (calendar) year.

Previous applicants who were not chosen can
reapply.

Graduates of Youth Leadership Lycoming cannot
reapply.
Application Procedure

The principal (or designated administrator) upon
the recommendation from a teacher, coach, or extra curricular activity
director must approve the student for application.

Students must complete the application, include 2
sealed letters of reference and return the packet to the principal.

Applications are returned to the Selection
Committee, or to the Youth Leadership Coordinator. The Selection Committee
will select 3 students from each school district for involvement in the
program.
