Williamsport and Lycoming
County offers one of the ten best biking trails in the world. The Pine
Creek Rail Trail is a 64 mile trail that extends from Ansonia in Tioga
County down to Jersey Shore in Lycoming County. Once the railroad
industry disappeared from Central PA, the rails were no longer needed.
Thus the old rail lines have been turned into usable trails for everyone
from experienced bikers to family fun. The trail is made of crushed
limestone and features beautiful natural scenery. The Pine Creek Rail
Trail is perfect for all experience levels from the avid biker to a fun
afternoon family outing. |
