Created in 1939, Little League was the first organized children’s sport. Today over 2.5 million kids play Little League Baseball making it the largest organized youth sport in the world. Williamsport is still home to the original field where the first World Series was played. You can visit the current site of the World Series at Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport. Every August, teams from around the globe battle for the title of world champions. While visiting Lamade Stadium make sure to stop in and visit the Little League Museum located near the stadium!
